In early 2023, Convergence Communications acquired the majority of the client book of long-established Auckland PR firm Trio Communications.
Trio’s owner, Felicity Anderson, approached Convergence due to the strong synergies between the two companies. She was retiring after a long career in PR and journalism, with former business partner Brenda Saunders having retired the year prior.
Established in 2001, Convergence is New Zealand’s most geographically diverse PR agency, with offices in Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and now Auckland.
Over two decades the firm has used digital and traditional communication channels to successfully deliver the communications needs of hundreds of corporates, start-ups, public sector organisations, not for profits and private individuals – winning more than a few industry awards along the way.
Convergence specialises in communications risk preparedness and hands-on crisis management. It is also one of only a few national PR companies in New Zealand that also has a dedicated Government, Regulatory & Public Affairs service in Wellington.
